Now that the year 2023 is behind us, Evoplay CEO Ivan Kravchuk takes stock of what happened in the last 12 months. Q: Evoplay had a year of unprecedented success in 2023, what new markets have stood out in its growth?
Last year, Evoplay achieved unparalleled success by entering new markets such as Portugal and strengthening our position in Europe and Latin America. The latter has become one of our standout markets of the year, showing notable growth compared to 2022, with increases in all important indicators such as Bet Sum, GGR and Rounds. Europe has also been a source of continued growth, especially in the Italian market, where we will intensify our focus this year.
In addition to new market entries, we also focused on expanding our partner network, resulting in a significant 82% increase in the number of commercial deals across all regions by the end of 2023.
Q: Last year you continued to update your portfolio with new interesting releases. Can you tell us a little about some of the standouts and how they shaped your content strategy going forward?
In 2023, Evoplay expanded its portfolio with the introduction of 57 new dynamic releases while creating our next flagship game. Featured titles include our instant game. Penalty shootout: streetvideo slots hot mania and treasure snipers and the captivating long ball Intensive gameplay, each refined to suit players’ ever-evolving preferences. To reach younger generations, vendors must be willing to push the industry forward with cutting-edge graphics and action-packed gameplay that prioritize the entertainment value found in games. Marketing campaigns should reveal our industry in new ways, taking advantage of gamification tools (tournaments, missions, competitions and others) to attract a younger audience and those seeking new emotions.
Recognizing the new generation’s preference for dynamic play, Evoplay is focused on diversifying its portfolio with modern sectors such as instant games and clash titles, as well as innovating in the more traditional slots sector. What sets us apart is not simply following trends but starting a movement. In supply and demand theory, we take both approaches: creating supply and anticipating demand, and vice versa. Q: What are Evoplay’s plans for 2024 and what can we expect in the coming months?
In the coming year, Evoplay plans to strengthen its existing partnerships, as well as establish new alliances to assist with further global expansion. Latin America will be a key focus for us in 2024 and we will also venture into the North American markets, starting with entry into the Canadian provinces, while the US regulated states also remain firmly within our field of vision.
